it seems that leisuretime make a habit of treating customers not much better than cattle by wasting good time that people have paid to go on holiday eg rouen for a weekend get you to catch a feeder bus at the unearthly hour of between 3-4 am only for you to wait another hour half in cardiff gate for the coach taking you Roue finally arrives only to find that the driver has no idea whats happening so we get on only to stop at magor services but then we are told that we are now having a one half hour stop in newbury town and that we are lucky this is from 9.30 to ten 30 but as our driver cant count thinks he has lost two passengers and in fairness goes to look for them then the two people who hav been on the way since 3.45 am wake up so now we have to blow the horn for said driver. you had to be there to see it we missed the ferry booked for us so eventually got to hotel at 8.50 everything shut hotel restaurant where brill tried to feed some people but what a shambles given brouchre on way home only to find that 40 quid had been taken off the price of the holiday please read this if you are looking for a real holiday dont book with leisure time try edwards david eqaurt but dont throw you hard earned money away on this shower they are more concerned with using any tom dick or harry as long as they can save money same on way back had to waste three hrs as coach from paris trip was three hrs behind watch out for trips with feeder coaches called leisure time . ...

Just back from Germany, Ahr Valley. Fantastic! Weather perfect, great location with friendly, helpful staff. Fantastic room, with balcony, view of castle, a big TV and settee and comfortable bed. Mike, our driver was fantastic, very steady driving and managed to miss daft drivers who suddenly cut in and almost caused accidents. Took about 5 hours to drive to hotel from Calais but 8 hours on the way back due to minor accidents and roadworks. Mike was amazing, driving all that way! Missed the ferry: saw it leave as we arrived but not Mike\'s fault! People were disgruntled as one passenger with legitimate USA passport was delayed at check at ferry: not her fault, could have done nothing in advance. And we missed the wine depot! Some very upset but we got on the next ferry and might have missed that too if we hadn\'t been in queue for next ferry. Thank you for a lovely holiday!...

Just returned from 8 day trip to Lake Garda. Great driving and guiding by Charlie and Paul - they really looked after us. It took 2 days travelling each way out and back, one of the 2 dayseach way being a long day - 7 am to 9pm. Plenty of comfort stops, but still too long sitting down on seats that were not that comfortable for long trips. The hotel, Forte Charme, in Nago, situated high above Torbole on the lake, was too far out from the lake for easy walks from the hotel, but hotel offered regular shuttles to and from the lake. The continental breakfasts were just about OK,but warm hard boiled eggs, hame and cheese got a bit boring after a day ( though there was plenty of cereals, fruit etc available. Evening meals were Ok apart from the ,main courses which were a hit and miss - often overcooked. Had three good tours, Verona ( though very crowded with tourists ) to Bardaleno for market, and around the lake by boat. All very good and well guided. Many thanks to Paul and Charlie ...

I have travelled twice with Leasuretime to Germany for Rhine in Flames and Scotland for Xmas and can only praise them for two great holidays at reasonable prices. My holiday to Bournemouth MaeMar hotel was ruined before it started. I rang the Leisuretime office to explaine that the company hiring out a disabled scooter to me refused to carry it into the hotel because it was too heavy. The girl rang the hotel and said the hotel would take I explained it was against health and safety and asked them to speak to the hire company but they refused saying it was nothing to do with them take my own scooter. I asked if I could change hotels to one that could accommodate the scooter they refused because it was Friday and I was going on Monday unless I paid for both Hotels. On arriving at the hotel the resteraunt was downstairs no one and nowhere was that information published I wouild not have considered booking on this information alone. I spent £50 on taxis+extra money for hiring scooters. I was unable to see Bournemouth and just glimpsed the sea while passing in a taxi. Why wouldnt this firm help when requested. It was a relief when I fractured my foot on Thursday and had to be brought home by family. ...

7 of us have just had a 3 day holiday with Leisuretime to celebrate my Birthday. We had a wonderful weekend and the value for money was great. We paid £99 and stayed in the Sandringham Hotel Weston super Mare for 2 nights. The hotel was excellent with really friendly staff who couldn\'t do enough for us. They were as happy at breakfast as they were in the evening. They obviously liked working there. Its\' an old hotel but spotless, our rooms were clean and the en-suite bathrooms excellent. We went to Wells on the 2nd day and Bath before we left on the Sunday. Weston is a great place for a family holiday and the renovated Grand Pier is good fun. It took me back to my childhood. Meals were good and there was a free bar from 7.30-10.30 and even entertainment on both nights. I just can\'t fault this weekend away ,I don\'t know how they do it. Our driver Caroline was so efficient. She had our bags loaded onto the coach in double quick time so no time was wasted. She was an excellent driver, we all felt safe and comfortable with her at the wheel. Well done Leisuretime, we will certainly be booking with you again. ...

Just got back from a London trip with Leisuretime. The hotel was tremendous, but the coach picking us up was a bright yellow school bus, with the rear bumper held on with black tape and one of the windows full of water. There was no toilet on the bus, much to the chagrin of the entire rear seat passengers, who were absolutely rotten drunk from the minute they got on the bus. At every stop (including Maesteg!) they ran off the bus to go to the toilet, with the result that we were on the bus for 4 hours and still in Wales and the driver then had to have his required 45 minute break in Magor. The trip had been advertised as 3 days, 2 nights, but we didn\'t get to our hotel until 5.15pm and I had already booked tickets to the London Sea Life Centre, which were wasted. The driver was very pleasant and helpful, but the bus was a mess. The trip back home was even worse, as the women at the back of the coach were already rotten drunk at 8.30am, despite the Terms and Conditions stating that no alcohol was allowed. They insisted on taking over the microphone and playing bingo with vulgar references; they sang constantly all the way home; they threatened to urinate on the floor if the driver didn\'t stop and then they dropped their empty vodka bottles on the floor. Never again!...

I canít understand people moaning. We are from Blackwood and get the Leisuretime feeder service to the coach. Itís FREE. Leisuretime is by far the best. The value you get is unbelievable. I can\'t work out how they can do holidays for the prices that they do. I have never has a bad hotel or coach yey and I\'ve been lots on times. There is the occasional hiccup but I have paid a lots more with other companies and had the same thing - just things like road delays or bad weather which no one can help (NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY!). Any minor points are sorted out really quickly. I think the staff are great too and freindly. You need to go in to one of the shops (in St Davids Centre and on by the bus station in Cardiff and I think they have them in Bridgend and Barry now too). They have lots and lots of differnt trips. I have seen them in the local newspapers too. Lots of people I speak to go many times in the year beacuse the prices are so good. Keep it up Leisuretime - you changed my life. Thanks ...

Just returned from a weekend to Windsor staying overnight at the Holiday Inn,Basingstoke. We were supposed to be on a weekend to the Cotswolds but this had been cancelled at the last minute and there was no other alternative. (This was the second trip in two months that had been booked with Leisuretime and been cancelled. Bus driver (he didn\'t introduce himself so dont know his name)was surly and very unhelpful and unfriendly. When we arrived in Windsor which was a lovely place, we found we only had 4 hours there and was then transported to the Holiday Inn which in itself was very clean and comfortable. However, when it came to the evening meal we were treated like 2nd hand tourists herded into a room like children in a school canteen. The meal and service was appalling and everyone was complaining. The drinks at the bar were extortionate so everyone we gathered went to bed early. Breakfast next morning was good, however once again we were told where to sit and not where we wanted. We were then transported by our even more miserable bus driver to Blackbushe market where we had to endure four hours in the freezing cold as we were not allowed back on the bus. We were not informed we were being taken off the bus at Cardiff Gate to Port Talbot until we arrived there. Once again no communication from the bus driver. Will never book with Leisuretime again and could not recommend this to anyone else. Leisuretime would do well to train this particular bus driver in good communication skills as this might have avoided a bad weekend becoming a worse one....

A ruined holiday to Llandudno. After promises of easy accomodation, we had the fright of finding our rooms on the second floor with no lift , meaning 38 steps for four eighty-year olds with arthritis. We were disgusted. The manager, Stephanie offered other rooms as she realised that the 38 steps would have made me ill. I lost my twin bedded, and another member who booked a single had to share but was not happy. There are 12 steps up to the hotel, the hotel itself is on a very steep hill. There is no lift and the four eighty-year olds had a holiday ruined and made miserable thinking each day of the distress and pain of getting back to the room....

We will never again book any coach trips with Leisuretime Cardiff. We booked three trips and all three have been cancelled. They usually give only a couple of days notice of cancellation. This also happened to us last year as well. Not only this but last time they cancelled they actually took the money out of our account again by mistake when they should have refunded the money, it took days to be refunded to our account. No Manager to speak to, complaints have to be in writing to the After Care Team !!! This company has no idea how to run a business. ...

My son and I went on an 8 day coach trip to Roses in Spain. On Christmas eve the coach driver drank too much and assulted my son. We decided to wait until we returned to Wales to make a complaint to the coach company Leisure Time. It has taken them 7 months to look into the complaint and both the Manager and the Owner Mrs Johnson do not listen. Four days of our holiday were ruined and the driver did not even have the decency to apologise. It made the last four days of our trip uncomfortable to say the least and the atmosphere was negative. I am over 60 yrs old and the coach driver, a strong drunken man, came up into my face only about 2 inches from me and shouted and swore in my face. I was petrified of him. All the people on the coach if asked would say I\'m a very quiete person. I did absolutely nothing to warrant the way I was treated by the driver named Clive and his girlfriend Claire. When drunk they are nasty abusive people. Clive tore the shirt from my son\'s back leaving it in ribbons. After 7 months of exchanges of letters Mrs Johnson the owner, offered us £20 compensation which we feel is a complete insult. We went to the shop in cardiff today to see her as her manager had failed numerous times to return our calls. We may as well have been speaking to a brick wall. She would have nothing said about the driver or his girlfriend. She had no intention of trying to get to the bottom of the accusations and said we could take her to court if we wanted to. If I was in good health I would. I had also written to her to explain that the Manager was failing to deal with our complaint and to say we wanted to deal with her direct. She couldn\'t even be bothered to reply. Instead we received a letter offering us the £20 from the manager. Today she had no idea really about the problem and when we explained she said she pays people to do the job for her. There was total lack of care. She was totally insensitive to our complaint which we had dealt with in the correct manner. Our holiday in total had cost almost £800 which is a lot of money for us and to have 4 days of it ruined, particularly over the Christmas we feel was totally unaceptable. To be offered £20 is like a slap in the face, it cust us more than that to go there today for petrol and car park fees. The hotel, and Roses was lovely. Our complaint is solely with the driver and his girlfriend who became like jekle and hide with drink inside of them. If you have any complain, dont expect Leisure time to be sympathetic. They are in business just for the money and couldn\'t give a damn. We will NEVER travel with them again....

First time using this company, heard a few horror stories but decided to give it a go, we decided on the Rhine in Flames tour, first the driver was an hour late because he didn\'t know he was working, when we got to Dover to change drivers the coach broke down, after 2 hours a fitter arrived with new batteries but had to wait for company to give the go ahead to fit them which took ages, by the time it was up and running we had missed our ferry, when we got to our first stop in Brussels the bus broke down again had to wait for international rescue which took 4 hours to come, it turned out that the starter motor and ignition had gone which our first driver knew about. When our driver phoned Leisuretime the \'boss\' turned his phone off! When we got to Germany (26hours later!) our driver left us to return to UK, luckily we had a few German drivers to take us on trips who were lovely, Leisuretime had organised for the German driver to pick us up at 11pm just when the Rhine in Flames festival was due to start, so the driver gave us an extra hour. On the last day had another driver to take us to Calais and they sent a bus from UK to collect us and take us back to Dover. I have been on lots of coach holidays but this has been horrendous, old rickety bus, no drinks onboard and the company were willing just to leave us there!...

Dear Sir Madam This is a very long email.Four of us went on your bus trip to Weston Super Mare on 5th February. It was a trip for my 40th Wedding Anniversary.(Ruby).I cant travel far due to illness @ mobility problems. The driver CLIVE was a disgrace to your company. He was so rude. Our itinary was Stop at Clifton village on way to Weston we ended up at Burnham on Sea. We asked CLIVE why we were not at Clifton Village because we were told that it was in the trip he said (very rudely ) get back on the bus and i will take you four there. He then said there is only one cafe and a post office there.Could you tell me if this is correct as i have never visited thereWe were only expecting what we had paid for .It did not include a very rude driver. On arriving at the hotel the party booking on the coach had the evening meal time changed. CLIVE was rude to me again he said i have sorted the time for YOU FOUR IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE.While we were in the bar Friday night one off the group on the coach came over and said did we really want to go to Wells on th Saturday as he said there is not much there and the driver was hoping he could go home and come back Sunday morning ( This is not a joke ) We did go on the trip ,it was cut short by an hour .The driver then went home after he took us back to the hotel and came back sunday morning .Our stop at Bath was also cut by an hour. As it was a trip to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary we are very very dissapointed. we are hoping for some type of reinbursment so we can do our trip to.CLIFTON VILLAGE.Yours Faithflly Mrs Ruby Thomas ( HOPING FOR A SWIFT REPLY )...

Just came back from a trip to the Christmas markets with Leisuretime. I must say that we travel with Leisuretime about 4 times a year and are always pleased but this was one of the best trips we have had. Coach great, hotel really great and the driver was a true pro. I don\'t how they do it for the price ... we paid £59. I would also recommend their Europe holidays ... we have been on loads....

just been to the burlington hotel in torquay with leisuretime it says short stroll to harbour it dosent say 25 mins walk down a mountain, the hotel is not really suitable for seniors or persons with walking problems, entrance door is narrow, steps are slippery, rooms could be cleaner, not allowed to go out on sun terrace from 6pm till 8am so in the hot evenings you have to sit&sweat or walk around to the front of the hotel, food good, staff pleasant coach clean, driver great but no leg room, no reclining seats or toilet ...

First I want to say what a really helpful driver Graham was, nothing was too much trouble for him & informed us of everything he could, traffic delays etc., We arrived at Harlands Hotel little later than planned, due to traffic delays etc., but our food was served immediately we arrived in the Dining Room. After reading so many complaints, I have to say that when my husband and I went to Bosworth Hall with Leisuretime last year we thought it was fantastic and really cheap too. The coach was fine, the hotel was great, the excursions were good, there was a swimming pool and gym too in the hotel, and we loved it. We went some time later with another company - Diamonds, I think - and although it was okay, it wasn\'t as good as leisure time and it cost more as we had to get taxis at both ends to the service station (at £20 each way), whereas with leisure time we just walked 5 minutes around the corner in Caerphilly and were picked up by a feeder coach. It was great!...

Just returned from a trip to Lake Garda with Leisuretime. Fantastic trip and great value for money. Boarded the coach at Bridgend and after 2 stops in Cardiff and Newport we travelled to the port. The coach was clean, new and comfortable. We stopped at a hotel in France on the way to Italy. On arrival in Lake Garda. We were staying in a wonderful hotel. The staff were fantastic and made us feel very comfortable. The rooms were large and the hotels facilities were great. The friendly driver took us on some interesting excursions whilst we were in Italy. We stopped again on the way back in a comfortable, stop off hotel. Within a week of arriving back in Bridgend i wasted no time booking a trip to Andorra with Leisuretime....

I went on a tour to the Cotswolds with Leisuretime and the bus they had used must have been from the last century. I am not the tallest woman in the world and I am not overweight, but there was not enough leg room. My knees touched the seat in front of me. Well, so much that I tried to move up with my bottom on the back of the seat. Thanks God it was a short tour. Even though it took only about two hours to get to our destination I had enough aches and pain. For your information, I am only 40 years old. How horrible must it be for tall seniors. I wanted to go to the Lake Districts with Leisurtime, but will not use them again....

Just returned from 8 day holiday in Diano Marina, Italy, the holiday destination is fantastic but there is always a but!,the hotel Villa Igea is between a busy road and rail track, so not much sleep! The drivers were arrogant and lied to passengers on too many occasions to list here, they spoiled the holiday! please do not use this company for long distance travel, if you value your sanity!...

My wife and I travelled to York and Harrogate from Sarn on Sept 19, when coach arrived we thought it was a feeder as it was only a 35 seater Mini Coach, it proved to be coach for full journey, far too small as seats were cramped and after reaching our hotel just outside Leeds we were aching all over, same on return journey. This type of coach is not suitable for long journeys. The hotel which had been changed day before we left was Ramada Jarvis which we found excellent and so was the food. York really worthwhile but Harrogate on a Sunday is very poor, would have preferred another day in York. A lovely weekend spoilt by the coach it will take days to get over aches and pains of such a long cramped journey....

Went to the Rhine Valley a few weeks ago. Were not given pick up time for feeder bus until the day before due to travel. Ferry not booked, but coach driver managed to sort this out. Coach broke down on penultimate day of holiday and instead of leaving for UK at 8am we had to hang around until 6pm. Coach broke down at motorway service station in Belgium on way back, fortunately my cousin and my husband who are both engineers managed to fix it but this meant catching 2.30am ferry. Coach broke down again at ferry terminal, again cousin managed to get it going. When we arrived at Dover the coach started but kept losing power and had to be nursed along by the driver who just kept it going back to South Wales. The hotel rooms were Ok, the food excellent and the staff wonderful(especially on the last day when we were delayed)...

I thought I would give Leisuretime a try as I was advised they gave value for money. How wrong I was to use them. from booking I never received my tickets or luggage labels, coach arrived late 40 mins and the driver just got out and said nothing. The coach was almost as old as the people on it executive coach my elbow it was poor. Picked upin Cardiff as I said late travel as far as Magor services to be told that we were stopping for 45mins due to his driving hours and he chipped about all the pick-ups that he had and if we had a complaint to speak to Leisuretime. Arrived at the hotel in Torquay 4pm as driver decided to stop again en-route at a garden centre. Hotel was poor the Burlington Hotel like stepping back in time. I have learned from this that for what you are paying is what you get a poor coach and driver and a sub standard hotel. I will never use them again. My advise give them a miss ...

Just returned from a 4 day break in the Carlton Hotel in Sandown, Isle of White . I enjoyed the holiday but unfortunately on the return journey we had to wait nearly an hour for the mini bus to pick us up from Cardiff gate to take us to our various destinations .As I live in Porthcawl ,this meant that due to the other various \'drop off points\' such as Barry,Cardiff ,Dinas Powys and Llantrisant meant that it took nearly another 2 hours before I arrived in Porthcawl! ...

I went to Amsterdam in March with leisuretime, the hotel was absolutely great and the staff were ever so helpful, the bus driver was also helpful and gave us many tips about how to get around the city and transport tips, unfortunately a stag party had also booked this holiday and made the long journey to Amsterdam from Wales a nightmare, having been on the coach for 21 hours (owing to ferry delays)a drunken stag party was the last thing we needed and most couples on the trip lost their sense of humour in Calais, I think that we should of been warned that a stag party would be joining the coach so we could make an informed decision as to whether we wanted to go or not. The rest of the holiday was fab, but this incident spoiled the break for both myself and my husband (celebrating our silver wedding anniversary) and most of the other people on the trip, we had all decided that if the behaviour had contined on the return journey that we would all leave the coach and refuse to get back on until the stag party had been removed. ...

I went on a day trip with leisuretime on Saturday the 12th April 07,to Malmsbury market town and Castle Coomb in Wiltshire, it was a lovely trip and the driver and courier very helpful throughout the journey. We had a very enjoyable day visiting the two locations, although at Castle Coomb the coach cannot go into the village, so its a very long walk down a very steep hill and not really suitable for people with walking difficulties, I think this should be stated in the details of this particular trip...but apart from that, I will definately be using Leisuretime in the future.......

Overnight trip to London, 20th & 21st March 2008, to see Terracotta Warrior Exhibition at the British Museum and the Golden Age of the Pharoahs Exhibition at the Millenium Dome. Our driver, John, was very helpful throughout the trip. He ensured we had regular \"comfort breaks\" and organised our exhibition tickets for us. It was a very relaxing trip, no concerns about parking or traffic. We stayed in the Devere Devonport Hotel next to Greenwich Park. It was an excellent hotel, far above our expectations. The breakfast was most varied and plentiful. We had spare time and managed a trip to the Royal Observatory. The overall price was very reasonable and i would recommend this company to others. I hope to take more trips with them in the future. Thank you for a most enjoyable two days in London....
