I went on a tour to the Cotswolds with Leisuretime and the bus they had used must have been from the last century. I am not the tallest woman in the world and I am not overweight, but there was not enough leg room. My knees touched the seat in front of me. Well, so much that I tried to move up with my bottom on the back of the seat. Thanks God it was a short tour. Even though it took only about two hours to get to our destination I had enough aches and pain. For your information, I am only 40 years old. How horrible must it be for tall seniors. I wanted to go to the Lake Districts with Leisurtime, but will not use them again.... |

Just returned from 8 day holiday in Diano Marina, Italy, the holiday destination is fantastic but there is always a but!,the hotel Villa Igea is between a busy road and rail track, so not much sleep!
The drivers were arrogant and lied to passengers on too many occasions to list here, they spoiled the holiday! please do not use this company for long distance travel, if you value your sanity!... |

My wife and I travelled to York and Harrogate from Sarn on Sept 19, when coach arrived we thought it was a feeder as it was only a 35 seater Mini Coach, it proved to be coach for full journey, far too small as seats were cramped and after reaching our hotel just outside Leeds we were aching all over, same on return journey. This type of coach is not suitable for long journeys. The hotel which had been changed day before we left was Ramada Jarvis which we found excellent and so was the food. York really worthwhile but Harrogate on a Sunday is very poor, would have preferred another day in York. A lovely weekend spoilt by the coach it will take days to get over aches and pains of such a long cramped journey.... |

Went to the Rhine Valley a few weeks ago. Were not given pick up time for feeder bus until the day before due to travel. Ferry not booked, but coach driver managed to sort this out. Coach broke down on penultimate day of holiday and instead of leaving for UK at 8am we had to hang around until 6pm. Coach broke down at motorway service station in Belgium on way back, fortunately my cousin and my husband who are both engineers managed to fix it but this meant catching 2.30am ferry. Coach broke down again at ferry terminal, again cousin managed to get it going. When we arrived at Dover the coach started but kept losing power and had to be nursed along by the driver who just kept it going back to South Wales. The hotel rooms were Ok, the food excellent and the staff wonderful(especially on the last day when we were delayed)... |

ON A RECENT LEISURETIME 6 DAY BREAK TO GERMANY, WE WERE DROPPED OFF IN STRASSBURG FRANCE. IN A LARGE NON ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRY WE GOT LOST, AND WERE HALF AN HOUR LATE GETTING BACK TO THE COACH. THE COACH HAD LEFT WITHOUT US WITH NO MESSAGE LEFT WITH THE CAR PARK ATTENDANT AND NO EFFORT MADE TO CONTACT THE ONE MEMBER OF OUR PARTY WHO STAYED AT THE HOTEL TO GET OUR CONTACT NUMBERS AND ARRANGE TO MEET ETC. I HAD TO PAY FOR A TAXI BACK TO GERMANY AND ARRIVED ONLY TO BE MET BY THE COACH DRIVER SAYING YOU HAD US ALL WORRIED, NOT WORRIED ENOUGH TO WAIT A LITTLE LONGER OR TRY TO CONTACT US AND TO TOP IT ALL NOBODY WAS MAN ENOUGH TO OFFER AN APOLOGY - PLEASE MAKE YOUR DRIVER GIVE YOU HIS CONTACT DETAILS IF YOU GO ON EXCURSIONS IN CASE YOU GET LOST OR HAVE AN ACCIDENT AND YOU GET AN ARROGANT SELF CENTRED DRIVER LIKE OURS WAS... |

leisure time are good value for there money if you got lots of comlaints then pay more money go els where and anoter thing that gets on my nerves is people moaning about drivers driving hours after 4 and half hour driver has to have 45 min break As my husband is a coach driver and remember this the driver gets up real early to pick every one up and did you know IT THE LAW for them to stop know you do. and i think people out there should respect the drivers not comlain about them stopping its not there fault IT LAW... |

I thought I would give Leisuretime a try as I was advised they gave value for money. How wrong I was to use them. from booking I never received my tickets or luggage labels, coach arrived late 40 mins and the driver just got out and said nothing.
The coach was almost as old as the people on it executive coach my elbow it was poor. Picked upin Cardiff as I said late travel as far as Magor services to be told that we were stopping for 45mins due to his driving hours and he chipped about all the pick-ups that he had and if we had a complaint to speak to Leisuretime. Arrived at the hotel in Torquay 4pm as driver decided to stop again en-route at a garden centre. Hotel was poor the Burlington Hotel like stepping back in time. I have learned from this that for what you are paying is what you get a poor coach and driver and a sub standard hotel. I will never use them again. My advise give them a miss ... |

Just returned from a 4 day break in the Carlton Hotel in Sandown, Isle of White . I enjoyed the holiday but unfortunately on the return journey we had to wait nearly an hour for the mini bus to pick us up from Cardiff gate to take us to our various destinations .As I live in Porthcawl ,this meant that due to the other various \'drop off points\' such as Barry,Cardiff ,Dinas Powys and Llantrisant meant that it took nearly another 2 hours before I arrived in Porthcawl! ... |

Between 14th -18th April we were staying at the Carlton Court Hotel Eastbourne with Leisuretime
The management were very welcoming but we were apalled by the condition of the bathroom not very hygienic and needed a good clean since returning home three members of our party have been very poorly with a tummy bug.
Hygiene should be of the highest importance, but was not in this Hotel. This was our opinion.... |

I went to Amsterdam in March with leisuretime, the hotel was absolutely great and the staff were ever so helpful, the bus driver was also helpful and gave us many tips about how to get around the city and transport tips, unfortunately a stag party had also booked this holiday and made the long journey to Amsterdam from Wales a nightmare, having been on the coach for 21 hours (owing to ferry delays)a drunken stag party was the last thing we needed and most couples on the trip lost their sense of humour in Calais, I think that we should of been warned that a stag party would be joining the coach so we could make an informed decision as to whether we wanted to go or not. The rest of the holiday was fab, but this incident spoiled the break for both myself and my husband (celebrating our silver wedding anniversary) and most of the other people on the trip, we had all decided that if the behaviour had contined on the return journey that we would all leave the coach and refuse to get back on until the stag party had been removed. ... |

I went on a day trip with leisuretime on Saturday the 12th April 07,to Malmsbury market town and Castle Coomb in Wiltshire, it was a lovely trip and the driver and courier very helpful throughout the journey.
We had a very enjoyable day visiting the two locations, although at Castle Coomb the coach cannot go into the village, so its a very long walk down a very steep hill and not really suitable for people with walking difficulties, I think this should be stated in the details of this particular trip...but apart from that, I will definately be using Leisuretime in the future....... |

Overnight trip to London, 20th & 21st March 2008, to see Terracotta Warrior Exhibition at the British Museum and the Golden Age of the Pharoahs Exhibition at the Millenium Dome.
Our driver, John, was very helpful throughout the trip. He ensured we had regular \"comfort breaks\" and organised our exhibition tickets for us. It was a very relaxing trip, no concerns about parking or traffic.
We stayed in the Devere Devonport Hotel next to Greenwich Park. It was an excellent hotel, far above our expectations. The breakfast was most varied and plentiful.
We had spare time and managed a trip to the Royal Observatory.
The overall price was very reasonable and i would recommend this company to others. I hope to take more trips with them in the future.
Thank you for a most enjoyable two days in London.... |
