Just come back from a weekend theatre trip to London to see Kinky Boots with Travelstyle. Feeder coach and main coach were clean and both fairly new, drivers were friendly and helpful, hotel had seen better days but our rooms were clean and staff very friendly. Evening meal was a carvery as was the breakfast and all in all was pleasantly surprised. For the price paid was very happy with the service and am glad i ignored the bad reviews on here and tried it for myself. ...

Traveled with travelstyle twice to eastbourne and stayed at the strand formerly the hilton royal. Each time I stayed there I had no faults with the hotel you get what you pay for. Am looking forward to staying there again next year....

My friend and I have just come back from a 4 day Easter break at the Sherwood Palm Hotel in Torquay. After an ll hour journey from Bolton, which was due to road works and heavy traffic on the motorways. The hotel was a cross between Fawlty Towers and the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. It is a large hotel with no lift, so you had to carry your baggage through a 'rabbit warren' of steps. The rooms were old and shabby, the toilet wouldn't flush properly and the shower was small and square so you had to get in sideways and had little space inside. There was no heating on, although there was a radiator in the bedroom. The bedding and towels were very clean. The dining room was very large, again with no heating on. The food on the first night was good but how can you spoil fish and chips and a very large amount of mushy peas which took up most of the plate up. Breakfast next day was corn flakes or bran flakes and orange juice with a full english breakfast, which consisted of bacon, sausage, fried egg, fried bread and two very large portions of tinned tomatoes and beans. The tea and coffee must have been the cheapest you could buy and tasted abysmal. The next two evening meals were presented with processed meat and had probably never seen a pig, again the plate was overpowered with either peas and half a carrot which measured at least 5ins or green beans again with another half of a large carrot. Both evening meals were not edible. The dessert on one night had not defrosted properly. As far as I know the staff consisted of one barmaid who started work in the evening, one student who waited on the tables at meal times and the chef. We did not see any other staff apart from the Owners who continually asked if you were enjoying your stay. This hotel needs to be closed down for a total refurbishment to bring it up to date. We have traveled with Travelstyle many times, but I can honestly say this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. It would be interesting to know if Travelstyle ever go to visit their hotels and if they do how did this one get through the net?...

Just returned from a holiday in Folkstone with trip to Belgium Ramsgate and Deal , all we seemed to do was wait about, started back at 9a.m didn't get to Dudley till 4p.m , waited nearly 2hrs at Warwick for feeder coach , hotel very dated and badly in need of decorating but staff pleasant that's more than can be said for the coach driver who stated everytime we stopped that anybody late back would be left behind , also he had radio on all the time BBC very boring it seemed to be all what he wanted , this is the 1st time we have travelled with this company and its definitely the last !!! ...

SINGLED OUT! As a single, I tried to book a holiday with this company, to Royal Albion Hotel-Brighton (my friends had booked separately as a couple). on the automated booking form, no single rooms were available, but it said the single supplement for 2 to 5 days was 29 (or so). with the holiday having been reduced 30 to 170, I was happy with this so phoned the reservations line. after about 5 minutes (at 10p per minute) my call was answered. the operator said that as no single rooms were available, I would have to pay double the single price, as the single supplement did not apply. I said I was not prepared to do that, and hung up. on the hotels direct website, a single occupant is listed as having to pay double occupancy. I am now desperately looking for somewhere else to stay, and sorting transportation out, but on reading the hotel reviews I may have misses an expensive disaster, and can find a better hotel/ B&B / mansion for the 100 per night they wanted to charge me!...

People make me laugh when I read these reviews, what people seem to forget is the price they have paid for these holidays! U pay rock bottom prices and they are expecting the ritz!! I have been going with travelstyle on weekends. short breaks and over the boarder for years now as a child with my parents and now with my partner and I have never had one single problem! Okay the hotels are not the best I\'ve ever seen but I know i didn\'t pay for it be! I always check how much I\'ve saved through travelstyle by comparing it to the same amount of nights stay through the hotel and its usually hundreds of pounds! I\'m too well off and if it wasn\'t for travelstyle I wouldn\'t get holidays every year! We go at least 4 times a year with them now\' and I am ver looking forward to going to disneyland in November with them and very impressed with the price I paid! I\'ve always had great staff who Are very knowledgeable about where you are (especially les) and when ringing the office the staff have always been polite Thank-you travelstyle...

I have been using this co for several years now. most times the staff are quite unprofessional, sometimes rude. many times I have been told that a trip is now \"closed\" only to ring the next day and book it with someone who could be bothered to check. Why do I continue to use this co? Cos they\'re cheap! I once wrote to the directors about a particularly bad experience when a member of staff swore at me - no response. Another time the coach failed to show. several times there have been feeder coaches without prior warning. However, on all but one occasions, the drivers have been fab! Even on self drive the staff have no idea about car parking or facilities at any of the hotels I have enquired about or stayed at. Will I use them again? Yes, until I am rich enough to travel our beautiful country without ever having to call Travelstyle again. PS I have never requested compensation, only assistance with all the problems encountered. This includes being stranded on the motorway when driver had blow out and did not know how to deal, when we had change in pick up to over 7 miles away, and room with nowhere to wash, shower, to staff forcing pick up in different area when then finding out there was pick up in original, closer choice...

Booked a weekend away with travelstyle to eastbourne it took us 10 hours to get there.we were picked up at 7am and we didnt get there till 10 past 5pm.After usual pickups we were then informed that the coach we were on was a feeder coach and we would be changing at Hopwood services Birmingham were we arrived at 10.45am and then we had 1 hour and a quarter to wait to board our next bus.we were not informed by travelstyle that we would have any changes and it was very disorganised. On boarding our next bus which was a different company called solus and greeted by a lady in a travelstyle uniform telling us in a very abrupt manner were to put our cases and when we could get on the bus.we were then greeted by our driver who looked like a member of the public. The other drivers were all in uniform and looked very clean and smart. On starting the second leg of our journey by this time it was 12.25pm there was no itenary information no safety information EG seatbelts ect. we later pulled in at another service station with again very abrupt instructions on how long we were going to be there. during the whole journey the bus was freezing and after several requests to the driver which made no difference at all we finally arrived in eastbourne extremely cold and stiff.during the whole weekend stay we had no information on what time the meals were or what time we were going on the trips as many of us on the trip felt that the driver and his partner became unapproachable and it was most uncomfortable. The hotel itself was a dissappointment being very run down and extremely cold due to inadequate heating. very little hot water and child size food portions.A great dissappointment for a 50TH BIRTHDAY present. 2 hotels was used for this trip SUCH a big difference between them looks like we got the runt of the litter. NOT HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUINED. ...

5th time with travelstyle (liverpool to llandudno)and no probs at all. Pleasant driver, on time. Only annoying thing is the seat number routine. When you book on line you pick your seat but it doesnt apply. Your told when you get on to *sit anywhere*. But if you do, you then get people getting on and moaning that your *in their seat*. One woman moaned continuously for the 3 hrs drive home that someone had sat in her seat. I wanted to scream *GET A LIFE WOMAN*. She drove us all mad. Each time we,ve been this has happened and as someone else has mentioned, you see elderly people struggeling to the back of the coach while the front seats are usually taken up by younger *larger* inconsiderate people who just look away rather than stand up and give them their seats. So come on travelstyle, surely you can do something about this. Travelstyle say seat numbers are not guarrantied on *feeder coaches* but your not told that when you book and ours wasnt a feeder coach, and it did have numbers on but no one takes notice. So come on travelstyle, sort it out. It would be a big help to lots of people....

I have travelled with Ttavelstyle quite a few times and there allways seems to be problems. I went on a weekend trip with my sister to chester- Liverpool. I thought we were staying in chester overnight then on to Liverpool, we had a few hours in chester then an hour to manchester where we stayed in a hotel for one night. we had to smile as the curtain in our room only closed so far, so there was a great big gap at one end. The feeded bus situation became a nightmare, our driver told us to be back on the coach for three and the feeder coach which was parked next to ours in Liverpool, told his passengers to be back at 4, we were then going on to a service station to get onto this feeder coach which had been parked next to us in Liverpool. While waiting at the servise station for our feeder coach we were told some passengrs had gone on a boaat and it had broke down, the delay was getting longer and longer. When the driver reached us he would have to have his required break. This meant hours of delay and then numerous drop of points, as I only lived about forty -five minutes away, I managed to get someone to fetch us, as did the other passengers. I have not heard of any apology. It seems to me that there is lack of communication between drivers, and the feeder bus situation is a night mare. Other than that it is still a good price for what you get....

This is my second attempt at writing a review for Travelstyle. My other one hasnt been printed for some reason. I,d like to say (again) that we were very pleased with Travelstyle, found it very convenient and had a lovely driver. My only question is when we booked we were told to choose a seat number but when we got on we were told to *just sit anywhere* and ended up at the back of the coach. No problem for me but my mum is 88 yrs old which is why i picked a seat near the front. I wrote to Travelstyle to ask about this but have not recieved a reply as yet. The other passengers told me *seat numbers dont apply* which i found strange. Hopefully my review will be printed this time as this will help anyone else whos thinking of booking and needs a front seat for anyone less mobile. I,ll be putting this on Trip Advisor too....

No idea why there is so many negative reviews about Travelstyle, I had a 5 day/4 night break with them at the Caledonian Hotel in Ullapool and for 230, my holiday couldn\'t have gone any better. We had a fantastic driver called John Taylor who was absolutely brilliant to have with us the whole time. The hotel had that instant Scottish feel as soon as we walked in with tartan carpets and the evening meals and breakfasts were inclusive. I personally chose not to go on the free tours as I was on my own and had other ideas such as a boat out to the Summer Islands a day on the Outer Hebrides and a day walking up Ullapool hill for the views. May I suggest to all the people who left negative feedback on here, you\'re already getting more than what you pay for and if that isn\'t good enough, spend twice if not three times as much else where and expect a 5* Holiday. Once again a big thank you to John Taylor our coach driver for making a very long journey enjoyable and for making this holiday a very special memorial experience and to Travelstyle for a fantastic service, there was a bit of chaos at Charnock Richard services on the way home due to our coach being held up in Perth but your staff gave it their best efforts and we got there in the end. I\'ll look forward to doing business with you again next year :)...

If i,d found this page and read all the negative reviews i wouldnt have booked with travelstyle but luckily ive only just found it. I must say i must be one of the few lucky ones because i found them to be excellent on the twice we,ve used them. On time, lovely drivers and at our destination in plenty of time. Couldnt fault them. My only question, (ive written and awaiting a reply) is when we booked we were given seat numbers on both occasions and this doesnt seem to apply at all. We were told on getting on the coach to *just sit anywhere* as the seats were not numbered. This is fine if your fit and able bodied but not nice for the people we saw struggling to the back of the coach because other people were in their seats. Not sure if the same applies on longer journeys but it seems to be the norm on the shorter ones, ie: Llandudno from Liverpool etc....

my husband and I have just come home from one of the worse holiday experiences ever.We went to Bournmouth for 5 days staying at the Maemar hotel I say hotel loosely it was disgusting as it rained most days we spent evenings in the hotel room,a good job as the lock didnt work so the door wouldnt lock we had to carry our valuables around with us my husband got a shower and the bathroom floor was flooded to turn the tv on my husband had to stand on a chair also to switch channels. There was hairs on the sheets we slept on top of the bed I reported the complaint they fixed the door but gave us dud batteries for the remote it was freezing so I asked for the heating to be switched on I had to wait 2 days before they switched it on and then it was barely warm.I have been in touch with travelstyle sending them a letter but no response.A lady went on one of the tours and while she was out they painted her room.As I am a vegetarian I stated this on the phone when I received my meal it was put in front of me not knowing what it was when I asked I was told I dont know so I was going out to eat.I do have photos of the incidents mentioned but travelstyle havent responded. These were mainly senior citizens like myself but many of them had walking sticks not once did the driver get off his backside to help them on or off the coach.A terrible chapter in my life I wouldnt travel with them again I was glad to see my front door. ...

I want to write to say that my wife and I, have had many enjoyable coach holidays with Travelstyle of Chesterfield over the last five years. They offer very good value for money holidays, because they don\'t have the overheads of running their own coaches and use independant operators like Solus coaches of Tamworth. The only issue we have had, was the cancellation of a weekend trip to the Lake district in March this year due to limited bookings. we were offered a hihger priced alternative which we declined and accepted a full refund instead. At the end of the day it comes down to peoples expectations. You should not expect 4* hotels at 2* prices. Well done Travelstyle for your great value holidays....

Returned a couple of weeks ago from 3night break to Sandown, Isle of Wight. Only paid 100 each for dinner bed and breakfast so wasn\'t expecting the Ritz obviously, but the hotel, The Seagrove, was disgusting! Was in a brilliant position fronting onto the High Street and the back being on the promenade, could hear the sea from our room. It was falling to pieces, needs knocking down and rebuilding! Decor left a lot to be desired in main ares but our room was bloody awful, I dread to think what other rooms were like after the receptionist said ours was one of the better rooms! Nothing matched, holes in floor, dangerous uneven floor, balcony door didn\'t lock,tv reception awful, only good thing about whole weekend was Rob, the Travelstyle coach driver! He was really helpful, good driver and his banter with the passengers was brill. Travelstyle, you should be ashamed sending customers to this \"hotel\"...

Hi had 5 day break to the isle of wight last week, we went with travelstyle and to be honest didn\'t expect too much considering what we paid for it, but we were pleasantly surprised, after joining the main coach at birmingam our driver Rob stayed with us and took us on 2 trips while there, he was very helpful and informative, and his friendly manner added to our enjoyment of our holiday. THe hotel we stayed in was the Seagrove it is positioned right on the sea front, and we were fortunate to get a lovely room overlooking the sea, the hotel itself is a bit tired andcould do with refurbishing, however the staff are very friendly, our waitress Louise really looked after us at mealtimes, and the food was good both breakfast and evening meal. we enjoyed the entertainment in the evening, and the manager Dean made an excellent Elvis, the price of drinks in the bar were reasonable, a pint of guiness costing 2.60 weatherspoons charging 3.30 for the same pint! would we go again ? most certainly .Angie & Brian...

Do not book with Travelstyle if you want your holiday to go ahead. My holiday was cancelled with less than 4 weeks to go with no reasonable explanation given. Took them 2 weeks to refund my money. Took out my holiday insurance with a company I had used before due to medical problems as I was told I needed to do this within 7 eays of booking the holiday and Travelstyle could not give me a quote. When holiday cancelled by Travelstyle they refused to refund my insurance premium. When I wrote to the so called complaints manager she did not even have the courtesy to acknowledge my fax/letter . Am still 50+ out of pocket through no fault of my own. Moral is book at last minute and refuse to get insurance until you absolutely have to....

Been using them for years and always took the rough with the smooth but lately some of the trips are bad who wants to spend 6 hours on a coach picking up people all over Birmingham and travelling just to spend 3 hours at your destination and repeated the next day. We have been picked up in taxis that are not even roadworthy and taken to meet coaches. The worst is that the coach was 20 years old, dropping to bits and some poor woman fractured her back in 2 places when the driver went over a bump it was like travelling on a fair ride for 6 hours obviously the suspension had gone. This is the reason I am not going to use them again. They should check these coaches it\'s disgusting....

Went with travel style to Britannia airport hotel Newcastle for a 5 day Christmas break. The hotel was very clean, food superb and the management and staff really friend with nothing too much trouble. We were supplied with a Christmas programme which we found was very useful throughout our stay. The only thing that spoiled it was the travel arrangements, having to change coaches halfway through the journey, which meant standing in pouring rain to ensure our luggage was put on the correct coach. This was very confusing and upsetting for some of the elderly people, We wished we had travelled by car. ...

First time using travelstyle, we were booked to go to Yorkshire Dales, but was cancelled week prior to going due to operational problems. Gave us alternative to go to Canmbridge/Constable country/Clacton On Sea. Got on feeder coach in Bham City Centre, to be taken up motorway to Solihull Town Centre, where we got off coach and transferred to another coach, finally on our journey, half an hour into Journey, we stopped at Corley Services for 45 mins. Arrived in Cambridge at 12.15ish, was told we would meet coaach at 4.35pm to go to Stevenage to our Hotel. On arrival it was an IBIS hotel in the centre of Stevenage town centre ???. Rooms very nice, but meal was disgusting, greasey watered mushroom soup, followed by dried up cottage pie and cold chips. Dessert was strawberry cheese cake which was still frozen, have seen better school meals served up. Left hotel 9am, drove an hour and half to Constable country, stayed there an hour, what a waste of time, walked down the lane to a mill, small museum with paintings in and a cafe, everyone thought it was a waste of time. Finally on our way to Clacton On Sea, arrived there at 12.15pm to be told we had an hour and a half there and then we had to be back on coach for our journey home, everyone disappointed as we never really got to see Clacton at all. So for my first trip not at all impressed. we heard alot of complaints on coach from other people who have used TravelStyle, and if you complain they are not interested, they just throw these packages together and hope for the best. I suppose you get what you pay for, so I think I will pay that extra to get they quality I expect....

Travelstyle ... utter joke. Cancelled self drive weekend with less than 3 weeks notice, due to so called contractual difficulties. Was offered same hotel for following weekend or alternative on opposite coast of England. Customer service had no reasonable excuse for cancelation and just repeated T & C\'s that they can withdraw from agreement up to seven days before planned break/holiday. All the blame was passed to hotel but when i contacted hotel direct was told Travelstyle had cancelled booking. BEWARE OFFER CHEAP DEALS BUT CANNOT DELIVER... TWO-BOB COMPANY !!!!!!!!...

Well where do I start we booked an holiday to go to the edingburgh tattoo and it was a total disaster from the word go.Having to pick a feeder bus up it was total chaos no one knew what coach to get on no one seamed to care all the bus drivers were fed up and could not care less, eventually when we got to the hotel, the driver knew that we would not go to some of the places what we had booked to go to like Forth William when we got to the Edingburgh tattoo he said don\'t stop for the fireworks when we got there some other people were in our seats.I sent a letter of complaint never had an apology at all from this company which I think is really disgusting. I think a lot of false advertising is going on here just to get your money....

Received notice that our holiday, which we booked months ago, five days before departure. We were offered alternative holidays which were not suitable and then with the proviso \'if places available\'so we could have been unlucky again! We were told that we could book the holiday at a later date but, if it were more expensive, we would have to pay the excess. We have written to the company to express our displeasure and will never ook with them again. Now we know why they are not affiliated to ABTA! ...

I thought i must let you know of the terrible time we had in a hotel booked by Travel Style. Who had supposeably checked the Hilton Royal Hotel in Eastbourne out. On arrival we were greeted with paint fumes. After searching for the place as the windows were covered in plastic and piles of scaffolding dumped in front of the building. After trying to get the attention of the person in the reception she mentioned where the stairs and lift were. Opting for the lift,as it didn\'t say it was out of order or that it was unsafe,we got stuck between the first and second floor. We pressed the alarm button several times no one came to our assistance after ten minuits we tried other buttons and it jolted down another floor. Eventually getting to the room which we conciderd a safety hazerd as the window would only open a few inches,as the paint fumes could be smelt up stairs in the corridors and no fire escape. The wardrobe could not be opened more than a few inches as the bed was so close. The breakfast was an unpleasant experiance a pot of tea already made before we came down was luke warm and a spoonfull of cearial already in the bowls, cooked breakfast was on a tea plate and left a lot to be desired. The stressed out young lady seemed to have served everyone single handed. We did not stay the other night booked. The manager was not in the premmises and didn\'t phone as suggested. We did receive a one day refund only after complaining several times. Giving Travel Style a second chance was a Big mistake we would never book with them ever again. ...

Went to pontins booked via travelstyle (self drive) with my 6 year old little boy, Mum and Dad. Took us 1hour to check-in. when arrived at appartment it was disgusting hole puched in two doors the bath/shower had bad mould round and was freezing. There was a Double bedroom and a single bedroom then there was this HORRIBLE!! sofabed in front of patio doors straight opposite the pub. The window was broken so anyone could get in. We complained which took us yet another hour Queing!! Asked for a transfer and was told this is what travelstyle had booked us into. The linen hadn\'t arrived because of the rain, they came to fix the window at 8.30PM and had to fetch our own bedding and linen at 9PM. If it wasn\'t for my 6 year old boy we would have come home. Take this out of your Brochure rRavelstyle before you loose anymore customers. The appartments were disgusting!! ...

Driver got lost doing pick-ups, late to bus stations, scruffy appearance, failed to pick up passengers at Chesterfield, looked very tired. Used his mobile phone whilst driving, hit kerbs, reversed at railway level crossing, turned left at a no left turn sign at traffic lights, went through red lights at crossroads and drove in the overtaking lane on the M1. The most frightening and dangerous driving we have ever experienced in our lives! Arrived only just in time for our show, tired and angry. Response to complaint took too long and was extremely poor. Will try to get a better resonse from the Managing Director. In the meantime, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you have good life insurance!...

Went to Easbourne with Travelstyle from 19th to 22nd August 2011. Was picked up in Sutton Coldfield Birmingham at 11.15am and arrived at Hopwood Services at approx 12noon. Hopwood Services seemed very un-organised. Not for the faint hearted. A lot of OAP\'s standing around for about 2hrs with nowhere to sit. Good job it wasn\'t raining! Eventually arrived at Hilton at approx. 8pm due to trafic delays etc. Advertised as 4 days and 3 night holiday, I would disagree. Departed Hotel at approx. 9.30am and arrived back at Hopwood Services at approx 13.30pm. Was a bit more organised this time round. The cost of the holiday was 100 plus 24 single supplement. Eastbourne itself was very nice but not the hotel. Had to ask for a room change after 1st night as the room was next to the lift and I could hear it moving from floor to floor making its announcements. Would not recommend the Hilton Hotel. Food seemed to be on ration. Would I use Travelstyle again? Not likely. Would have to do a lot of research on hotels and if they change the Hopwood arrangments....

Travelstyle don\'t own coaches or hotels, they hire which is how they keep their prices low. I\'ve had lots of breaks with them and had only one hiccup last Christmas when I didn\'t get picked up for an hour and half because the driver had no idea of his way round St Helens and he was held up by people who just didn\'t turn up ie a party of 6 which he waited for. I went to Torquay and avoided the snow, Waters Edge where we were made very welcome. Just been to London, Palace & Parliament and the coach was like a Shearings Grand Tourer and the nicest driver you could wish for. The Holiday Inn, Stansted, was a little way out but when you\'re not going in the Palace til half 12 its no big deal and was OK for a 1 night stay. Also the single room supplements are great. Travelstyle - my first port of call for holidays in Britain. ...

I have just endured the most inconsiderate and unprofessional rude and disgusting behaviour from your staff and your service.I was and still am mortified how I and my family have been dealt with in these circumstances. My Twin Sister booked a tour for myself her and my mother (whom are 57 and 87 years of age.)My Twin Sister Tina unfortunately passed away suddenly on the 13th July 2011, However on my contact to yourselves asking if we could postpone the dates which were the 25th July 2011, which also was my sisters funeral. and go at a later date we were told we would loose our monies, just as blunt as that the staff were arogant and didnt want to know the reasons all though i told them they were not interested NO just you will loose your money.I would not mind if we were trying to cancel we only wanted to re date the trip.I would like all your readers and customers to know how heartless the staff within your team are. and god forbid anyone else is put through the tourture which you added to our greif for our Sister. I feel you should send all your staff to training for communication skills and shear common sense in light of the issue regarding this matter. We booked in July 2010 for a three day christmas tour to Cheltenham, Bath, staying over at Weston Super Mare, returning through Cirencester and Bourton, leaving on the 3rd December 2010. Prior to the trip we could get no information about the iterinery or information about the trip. We arrived at the coach pick up point at 6.30am, for a 6 55am pick up, it was minus nine below freezing. All our party were Senior Citizens. At 9am I tried to ring the Company head office in Chesterfield, it took 20mins to get through (at all times i was using a mobile phone) when I did finally get through I was informed that the coach had broken down or was stuck in traffic, they did\'nt really know as none of their drivers have mobile phones, but they would ring me back when they had information. No apology, no real information. They did not ring back. After 2 further phone calls both taking 20 minutes to get through, we were told to be patient, the weather was bad, what could we expect, there was nothing they could do!!! At 10 50am we decided to give them up and return home. At 10 57am they rang to say the coach had arrived and as we were not there they had left without us. What a good job we had witnesses at the coach station who comfirmed no coach arrived, and obviously the Company were being untruthful. After many phone calls and letters to them they offered us a free holiday of the same duration to show good faith (how could it be free when we had already paid for our original trip) this had to be taken before 31st March 2011. In their letter offering the trip was the first time we had received an apology from the Company. Obviously we declined this so called offer as we were only interested in recovering our money in full. Only after advising them that we were going to take out a County Court Judgement against them, did we manage to get our money back. This Company should be avoided at all costs, their trips do not exist, their Staff are rude and unhelpful, and they have no interest in their Customers. ...

Went to Isle of Wight with Travelstyle. Hotel was reasonable but the main problem was the driver. He had no idea of how to interact with passengers and was very obnoxious. He also decided to change the time of one of the excursions whilst we were having breakfast to 9.15 instead of 10 and guess what he went without most of us. Our Isle of Wight Travelstyle holiday started off promisingly after being picked up at Mansfield bus station at 10am.The driver was smartly dressed and welcomed us onboard. The journey went downhill once we got to Hopwood services interchange at 12 noon.It was organised chaos on a grand scale as there were about 20 coaches in,passengers walking up and down with their luggage in tow and only 1 marshal who was swamped with queries. We had to wait 80 minutes for our coach to arrive and then be told our hotel of choice had been changed without our knowledge(a letter was waiting for us on our arrival home informing us of the hotel change). When i asked our driver for his opinion on our 'new'hotel he gave it the thumbs down and called it a dump!I should note that our new driver was the complete opposite of our 1st driver. This one was completely disinterested, uncommunicative and looked like he'd just got out of bed.Anyway we were hopelesly behind schedule arriving at our 4th choice hotel at 7.35pm being ushered into the dining area -skipping the starter(the chef had thrown it away)-having what was left of the main meal + dessert. The hotel was basic in every way,the manager invisible and the only saving grace was the seafront location with it's wonderful views, the food and the service of one waiter in particular were exceptional. We did not join any of the excursions due to the uncommunicative driver so went our own way.The island and it's attractions were fantastic but the journey back home were again farcical with the driver arriving 90 mins late at Hopwood. If Travelstyle want repeat custom they best hire drivers that take pride in their job and cut out the dead wood....

From the start the customer service was very poor, the driver did not great us , gave us no commentry during the journey , when he stopped and parked at an interchange the coach , did not even tell us where we were if we could get off. Getting off the feeder coach and getting onto the correct coach was choas with hundreds of people standing around confused. There was no \'welcome to Scotland \' announcement when we crossed the boarder. The driver did not have any anti-freeze , so had to stop several times to get out and clear the windscreen, as it was snowing heavy. The hotel lunch was the minimum amount of sandwiches between a table. No drinks were served with lunch or dinner. The only good thing was the coach party , we all just beared it all and had a laugh between us. Having just got back from our trip to Great Yarmouth which was for five days,I thought I must forwarn other travellers of what to expect when they set out on their holiday. The coach picked us up at the given time of 10am,very nice driver,we did expect that there would be pick ups on the way but on getting to Castle Donnington stop we did not expect to have to change coaches,as other passengers were going to Great Yarmouth any way to cut a long story short we arrived at our Hotel at six oclock in the evening bearing in mind that to go to G/Yarmouth with car takes about 2 1/2 hours. And to cap it all the driver pulled up with the bus door open and a nice pile of dog poo on the pavment, you can imagine how difficult it was for the older passengers to by-pass this when getting off the bus.The hotel was what we would have expected for the price, but what was so annoying was at breakfast time the couple sat at the next table were on our first bus,so why did we all have to change when some of the same people were going to the same hotel?Very bad organisation I would say.Shame, because other than the trip down it was good value for the money....

Went to Isle of Wight on the 13 AUG 2010. A nightmare, never again will I use these.Phoned them, emailed them had no reply from them.Booked a 4 day tour in june and paid in full at the time. Only had one letter, not much on it,to say where and what we were getting.Phoned the day before we went to check times and told the Coach driver would tell us everything about the trip. Was not told on first mini bus, had to wait for main coach.Drivers moaned all the time at other pick up points, on the phone alot to travelstyle. Found out we had to stop at rest stop, to swop round some people from another coach with some of ours. My mother turned out to be one of them. Some where going to Sandown and some to Shankin. I told the driver, my mother was not going anywhere without us.He went and came back later and said right.Had to wait at southhampton for an hour, because they put one coach on the 12 midday and ours on the 1 pm.Once there we got told our hotels, people who had no trips went to one hotel and the named ones went to another on the seafront which was us.Wait driver gets a phone call, we are told been moved hotel, don\'t know why.Get there and was told no room until next day, because he had just been phoned to say we were coming, but could have his room, which was dirty, no towels and dirty sheets.I said no and phoned travelstyle who did not care and would not help The hotel where the other guest had go in next door, had 2 rooms which had been cancelled and did not know why.I had to pay 243 to stay there, which turned out to be a twin and a single which is what I had paid for in June for 318 .85. Found out no trips ,like the other 9 guest did, phoned them still did\'nt care. Was left with no spending money to do anything while there until one very nice lady lent us 50 to do some things, until we could go home.Going home was just has bad.10.30 am turned into 1.40 pm but by 3.10 we got told they where coming in 5 mins.Same happened on ferry home, had to wait for the next one. Other coach got on first, got home nearly midnight.Never again with travelstyle. Seeking advice about having to pay again for one trip! know why....

Have been many times with travelstyle, the hotels were of a very mixed type, last trip we went was a day trip to chatsworth at christmas, it was appalling we wear given two hours to see the house ect then on to a hotel/pub for lunch, there was two travel style coach trips going to the same place wich only caterd for 40 so after a long delay an altenat venue was found it was a pub in a back street in Cromford the food was cold and aufull then we went to a village to see christmas lights we were so late arriving everything had closed. I think if you travel wit this company you are taking a big gamble wether you get a decent holiday or a crap one. ...

In the main Travelsyle holdays good, I went to south Devon last year & the coach was from Soams new coach & very frendly driver who remembered some of us from previous holidays. One small problem with Travelsyle is some of the places you are down to visit are imposible to get to by coach, the company should check some of these destinations better & pick places you can get to ...

You do seem to spend a long time on the coach with this company. They never seem to send out a trip schedule either. We wanted to change our pick up point on a trip so that we weren\'t sitting on the coach for a needless 2 hours and they wanted 10 per person admin fee for the bother. Decided not to change if that was their attitude. This company is reasonably priced if you don\'t book too early like we did and then see that they have reduced it by 30 per person! Have visited Paris with this company and coach broke down twice, wrote to company on our return but like many others you never get any response which is very rude and arrogant. Most accommodation is good but only usually 2*. You are ok as long as no details get changed. Best to try the self drives as you get a good price but don\'t have to rely on their transport. If you are looking for a London Theatre trip book with Omega Travel, I wouldn\'t dare go with Travelstyle there as Omega have never disappointed....

have just returned off a christmas shopping trip with travelstyle and all i can say is trip from HELL!! The trip was fri to sun visiting skipton, chester and manchester german market and castleton illuminations. We was supposed to be staying in a 4*luxery hotel. We was supposed to be getting picked up at half 9 it was 11 o clock when the coach turned up i had to ring the office 3 times to see what was happening i just kept getting fobbed off that he was stuck in traffic but they didnt no where?!! the staff were very unhelpful and honestly quite rude. we then got on the coach to find out that at the next stop 15 mins away we had to stop for 45 mins for a rest we was honestly ready for going home. We found out off the poor people who had been on the bus since 7 o clock that there had been no bad traffic at all and infact frank (the worst and rudest coach driver i have ever come accross) kept getting lost and missing his turns thats why he was so late!! after having 2 hours in skipton we set off at 4 o clock thinking we was been took to the hotel because frank never spoke or told us what was happening, we arrived at what we thought was the hotel to be told to be back at the coach in half hour we had been took to a garden centre which was due to shut so it was completely pointless been took. after another drive we arrived at the 4* hotel brittania in wigan at half 6 to be told we had to be at dinner at 7!! the hotel was an absolute dump it stunk of damp there were holes in the wall that had been filled and left the bathroom sink was really badly cracked and we spoke to several other people who said exactly the same. dont get me wrong iv been on coach trips before and dont expect posh hotels but this was awful, the food was awful the bar was like a holiday camp with screaming kids running about. day 2 the bus driver frank actually managed to speak and told us his name he said he was too stressed on first day !! we were the ones who should of been stressed! we had a nice day in chester and a lovely night because we went out of the hotel to a pub over the road and had a nice meal. day 3 we was supposed to be going to manchester for german market but instead arrived at the trafford centre at 10.30, nobody knew what was happening he said because it was raining he decided to bring us here instead which the majority of people didnt mind but everyone was just so angry at the total lack of communication, we then found out that most of the shops didnt open until 12 so we had an hour and half window shopping we was then to be back to the bus for 1.15! it was then on to castleton for the illuminations, we noticed there was a video hung off the bus as we were travelling at speed down the motorway if this had come off the bus and hit a car it could of been really dangerous frank was told but did nothing about it after a few more wrong turns we eventually arrived in castleton at about 4 o clock we had half an hour.the only good thing i can say about the trip is that we met some really lovely people and had a lot of laughs because if not we would of cried!! i would never go on another travelstyle trip and would tell anyone i knew not to!...

my husband & ijust returned from paris ,although the journey was long & time consuming bothways thats more to do with road condions & trafic volume The quality inn hotel was good for 3* as only booked last minute & expecting 2* but breakfast very basic. The hotel was on the out skirts of Paris but not far from a train staion/metro link. we bought a 3day visitors pass 20e unlimeted travel on bus,Metro,R.E.R.& once you work the system out you can get to most places I have limeted walking capsity but although Paris is not the most disabilty friendly place ,if you try a few schoolchild french phases e.g/ bon jour etc, you can get around quite well. just be aware of lots of beggers/con artists/thieves same as in any city. The beer/ drinks ware expensive 9/10e apint 3/4 e cold drink/tea ,food not so bad, look around for offers. allin all had a great time. we would go with travlstyle again as we had agood diver on loverly feeder coach and avery knoladgeable good diver keith for our main coach,The free trip around paris was good!So thanks travelstyle for the value for money trip. We would book again with you...

Eastbourne - April 2009 Spent 3 hours on coach before leaving the West Midlands. Hotel, no choice of food, poor quality and cold. Coach driver advised passengers to complain. We paid extra for named hotel to find out that Travelstyle only use one hotel in Eastbourne! The journey back was equally poor. We complained to Travelstyle but they came back eventually and said that no-one else has complained so next step is we will go to trading standards. As an ex-travel agent we are not getting fobbed off for what was an expensive holiday only to receive a cheap imitation....

Went to london for new year with travelstyle. Hotel was changed which was dissapointing as we booked the 5 star hilton metropole. The hotel we stayed in thistle barbican was nice enough but much further away and not as classy as the other one. Our whole reason on going to london was to go to see fireworks and big ben etc. Because of distance back to hotel and availibility and cost of taxis we were unable to do this. Wouldnt recommend this tour to anyone really as it worked out expensive getting into town as there was nothing by the hotel....

I have recently been on a London theatre weekend with travelstyle. My friends and i had a fantastic time, the driver Robert was brilliant, humourous and knowledgable about London. However, i was disappointed not to arrive in London until 2.10 when a travelstyle opeator old me we should be in london for 12.30. In addition to this the hotel; Holiday Inn Stantead was too far from the city - took 2 hours to get there due to traffic and distance. Nice hotel but nothing around. I feel the hotels used should be closer to the city as this is already a long, tiring weekend without the need for extensive travel to accommodation. Othewise we had a fantastic time....

Our main coach tour destination was Liverpool of which we spent just two hours the rest of the time was spent in the coach on slow moterways to our hotel miles away in Didsbury nr Manchester Our itinary said evening entertainment which the hotel knew nothing about so for two nights we were trapped in the hotel with nothing to do. Very bad organization of the schedule it could have been a good trip with a bit common sense. booked for chatsworth house and chesterfield xmas market also castleton christmas illuminations on sat/sun we only had 2 hours at chatsworth have been before to the house but if you hadn`t you would not have enough time to look around the house the stalls were poor not as good as last time. got to hotel in didsbury yes didsbury back tracking , hotel was great rooms lovely modern clean .meal wasn`t great but for what we paid couldn`t complain.told breakfast at 7.30. ready to board coach at 9. 00, well the coach had had it windows smashed in. so instead of sending out a new coach the driver was told to bring the coach back to birkenhead and bring back a new coach which left us hanging aroundthe hotel till 11.45. why why did travelstyle just bring out a new coach and the driver take the damaged one back, but no we wasted 3 hours then told we did not have enough time to visit castleton . in all the totel xmas shopping time we had was 5 hours over 2 days . this is totaly unaceptable we spent more time on the coach , by the way on the way to chesterfield the wipers broke what next. we did not get there till 2.00 when the stalls were packing up infact there were many empty stallsnot very well organized just common sense needed. very dissapointed...

travelled to oostende 22nd august2008 did not recieve an itinary stating that we where going by shuttle and also about feeder buses, this was not stated in the brochure. i also requested seat for long legs as i am 6ft 4inch tall which on booking you gave me, when my invoice came you had given me seat 46 and my partner seat 27 after phoning you again you gave us seats 46 and 47 these seats were the shortest leg room on the bus we had to sit sideways to get our legs in resulting in leg cramps. we have booked to go to london on the 13tg september2008 this saturday again you have given us long legged seats i hope you have got it right this time, the seat numbers must be the ones on the drivers side, also we have not recieved any intinery for this trip this is poor communications. on a good point the admiral hotel was value for money and made us all feel welcome, would go again but would travel with a different company....

London Freedom Weekend My husband and I went on this trip on the 30th August 2008 hoping to have what amounts to free time in London. After arriving at what was supposed to be a central London hotel, it was in the docklands about 30 minutes by tube, at approx 2pm we were told to wait on the coach by the driver whilst he sorted things out, he came back and told us that our rooms were not ready but we could put our luggage in a bar area, the problem being that we had to make sure we removed them before 5 pm so in effect limiting us to staying around Canary Wharf, when various people complained about this, his reply was nothing to do with me I don\'t work for travelstyle, they have just hired me and my coach (the coach must have been one of the oldest of its kind) if you\'ve got a problem ring them. When asked what would happen to our luggage tomorrow, the same reply, ring travelstyle, which we did, it was a complete waste of time. The hotel room when we were finally allowed in was in need of attention to say the least but the most unpleasant part about it was that the temperature was 28+ because the air conditioning didn\'t work anywhere in the hotel. You get what you pay and in Travelstyles case that is not alot, poor service, the cheapest room and pot luck whose coach and driver you get. ...

My daughter and her partner went with travelstyle for a New Years weekend break to Disneyland, Paris. They wanted to celebrate the new year after having a death in the family and a few other depressing situations. The coach broke down twice on the way there, the \'hotel\' was in an area surrounded by graffiti and looked like the buildings were due to be demolished. The hotel was filthy and the sheets hadn\'t been changed. It didn\'t have a restaraunt and there was nowhere to get any food. It was in the middle of nowhere and NOT in Paris. They survived on a couple of packets of crisps and were absolutely starving by the time they got home. On New Years Eve they arrived Disneyland at 10am and weren\'t picked up again until 1am the following morning. All in all they had a really miserable time on what should have been a well earned rest. ...
